    Pathology from University of Redlands, CA

     

  • Over 24 years' experience in San Diego County
    in a variety of settings including Rady’s
    Children’s Hospital, Poway School District, San
    Diego City Schools, and Private Practice.
     

  • Experienced in multi-disciplinary approaches
    and has worked directly with Occupational
    Therapists, Dentist, Orthodontist, Doctors and Speech-Language Pathologists.

  • Approaches used in therapy include a variety of oral motor techniques from Talk Tools, Prompt Therapy, and The Kaufman Method to treat children with apraxia and other motor speech planning impairments.
     

  • Specializes in a variety of variety of approaches to treat children with Autism and related disorders including PECS, TEACCH, SCERTS, DIR/Floortime, Social Stories, Visuals, and a variety of sensory based techniques.
     

  • Trained in Michelle Garcia Winners Social Thinking Model, Flexible You.
     

  • Experienced in a variety of feeding programs, including Food Chaining.
     

  • Has run the More Than Words Hanen parent training program for over 16 years.
     

  • Implemented Talkability Hanen Parent training program in 2011.
     

  •  Manager for Autism Tree Project Foundation, which supports early identification, and screens over 600 preschool children each year at MAAC Headstart sites.

  • Autism Trainer of National Charity League Volunteers for Autism Tree Project foundation.

  • Trained and utilizes sound therapy in therapy sessions such as, Forbrain, Integrated Listening (ILS), Therapeutic Listening.

  • Utilizes Lindamood-Bell Visualizing and Verbalizing, Talkies and Seeing Stars programs in therapy sessions to treat weakness in concept imagery and phonemic awareness.
     

  • Board Certified Orofacial Myologist for the treatment of oral and facial muscles as they relate to speech, dentition, chewing, swallowing and physical health.
